My Voice Experience

If I were any prettier I would be on TV.... but hey the voice is what matters here N I've got one that rocks! :-)

I have had a fun filled stint in the broadcasting industry as a Radio Jockey for 4 yrears hosting shows in Hindi and English; and alongside I have done numerous VO's for the past 6 yrs.

Details of my Work Experience –

I have recently been signed on as the Signature Voice for HUTCH.

Besides this my Voice over experience has been mainly in Documentaries & Multimedia Presentations, Corporate Films, AVs, Cartoon dubbing, Radio Spots, IVRs, Narratives, Travel Shows, Promos, Ad Films etc like -

RADIO Experience –
Worked as Radio Jockey with 93.5 RED FM in New Delhi from Oct’2003 – Jan’06 - Hosting the popular late morning show “Dilli Talkies” Mon–Saturday (11 A:M–2 P:M). I was also the Producer for this show.
- Dilli Talkies was essentially warm-hearted and a lot of fun containing lots of Contests, Bollywood information, recipes, home tips, beauty tips and Delhi Gupshup – things typically of interest for Housewives and shopkeepers… with a little talk also centered around people on the roads etc.
- During this time I interviewed Film Personalities like Shah Rukh Khan, Farah Khan, Karan Johar, Mahima Chaudhry, Mallaika Arora Khan; numerous TV Stars like Smriti Irani (Tulsi), Sakshi Tanwar (Parvati), Ronit Roy (Mihir), Pallavi Joshi, Aman Verma, Mona Singh (Jassi) and many many more; And Singers like Bappi Da, Malkit Singh.
• Worked with Banyan Tree Communications Pvt.Ltd. as a free lance Radio jockey, presenting and scripting ‘Dr.Morepen Tango’ – a daily, radio show on A.I.R F.M. 102.6 Mhz from 15th June ’02 – 15th June’03. This show had high TRPs and was a 1 hr non-stop dance mix with me, the jock talking only about health and good living along with product endorsements.
• Worked for Sa Re Ga Ma HMV as a part-time Radio Jockey (presentation and scripting) and presented Dr.Morepen’s Non Stop Zindagi Show from August 2001 to March 2002, four days a week. It was being broadcast on A.I.R. F.M 102.6 Mhz. in New Delhi and Mumbai; India

My Training

School, college dramtics n singing teams were the start; a 15 days Radio Jockeying and Tv Newsreading workshop the formal necessity.... Bbut the actual training was listening, observing, copying and innovating.

Have had On the Job training in Voice Modulation, Voice clarity, breath control and mike angles.

Prior to working as a Voice I have 7 yrs experience of working in the Garment Export Industry as a merchandiser and have interacted with European and American Buyers/designers regularly - though unrelated to media it has emensly helped me in understanding how businesses work and adapting to different mindsets.
