My Voice Experience

I have done voice overs for characters Mario and Black Mage in stage productions, a jingle for a computer course, and a fan made cartoon dub.

My Training

I spent several sessions as a guest DJ at WPGU 107.1 "The Planet" including running a game show.
I also have taken seven years of choir and three years of acting during primary and secondary school, four acting classes through Parkland College, two years of solo and small group instruction at Alverno College, and two years of vocal lessons though the University of Illinois.

My Studio Equipment

I have a basement studio located in my home for convenient and fast recording. I primarily use a Samson C01U condenser mic set in a shockmount with an attached Samson PS01 pop filter for most recordings. All recordings are imported into either Adobe Soundbooth, Audacity, or Garageband depending on the kind of recording and the mixing needed. I then export to any file type or create an audio cd as requested.

Additional Skills

I sing and whistle. I can add either of these in seamlessly.
I have been singing since I was a child and have taken vocal lessons throughout school. I have been in several musicals including Bye Bye Birdie and Music Man. I have placed 1st in state music competitions. After college, I continue to be active by participating in my church choir and singing with the Sweet Adelines- a women's barbershop choir.
I have also been whistling since I was a child, much to my mother's annoyance! I currently whistle when I'm happy and while I work. I also frequently take song requests wherever I am.
