Voice Description

I have an extremely malleable voice. I have the ability to create a husky, sexy voice, with deep qualities, and also higher voices for animation characters or children. It's easy for me to change from a warm, smooth voice, for narrations or presentations, to bubbly, fun, commercial voice. I speak English, and can speak Italian conversationally. I have many dialects and accents in the English language including; Southern, Midwest, New York, New Jersey, Surfer, Australian, British, Irish, Scottish, Italian accent, French accent, and I am able to learn and adapt my voice to certain tonalities and accents quite easily.

My Voice Experience

I have always entertained my family and friends with my plethora of voices I have created over time. I feel most of my experience has been from day to day life. I am an actor first and foremost. I studied at Oberlin College, majored in Theatre, concentration in acting, and graduated with an award from the Theatre department in 2001.
During college, one of my jobs was reading the textbooks, and books of plays onto a tape for a woman in my class who was dyslexic. I created voices and made the readings as interesting and fun as possible for her. I have done commercials, been in many plays, short films and features. I've studied with Samantha Paris, Cynthia Songe and Susan Blu.

My Training

BA in Theatre, concentration in acting at Oberlin College in 2001. I've taken various acting classes in Los Angeles, cold reading workshop with Scott Sedita; commercial class at "The Audition Room" with Mike Crowley, on camera close-up advanced scene study with Charles Carroll. In San Francisco I have been studying at American Conservatory Theatre (ACT), have taken advanced scene study classes, voice and movement in college, and have studied at Voicetrax in Sausalito under Samantha Paris as well as in Los Angeles, under Cynthia Songe who works with Susan Blu.
