On an initial call to a talent agency, I said "Hello I'd like to speak to..." and the operator exclaimed, "Oh my God, you must be calling about doing voiceovers!"
My voice carries a deep, powerful resonant persona; soothing and authoritative, or fatherly. As a mature voice actor, highly sensitive to direction, I can add drama, humor, pathos, charm, accents and dialects from German to French, Irish to Yiddish, tonal changes, and even gender-bending characterizations as the part may require. From the classic to the cliché, the range of my voice will impress you.

My Voice Experience

A theater junkie from birth, during my formative years I appeared in a wide variety of musical and non-musical productions such as Bye, Bye, Birdie, Shakespeare in the Park, on and off Broadway, and my favorite gigs; improvisational comedy. During high school, I repeatedly won national recognition from the National Forensic League for my voice talent and skills at college speaking competitions. In the 60’s, while still in my teens, I moved to Woodstock, New York, where I spent 2 seasons singing at the Turneau Opera, acting in local theater, and appearing regularly on radio programs along with broadcast luminaries of the time, such as Mary Margaret McBride.

I have emceed music concerts, and have been a compensated guest or keynote speaker for numerous national organizational functions such as Doris Day Animal League and others. I have traveled the Nation extensively as spokesman for National Dog Registry, speaking in defense of animals.

In my experience as a copywriter and voice over talent, I have created and appeared on countless radio commercials, including Home Depot, and commercial videos, including Armor Dynamics, which was recently presented to congress. As a voice actor, I have become recognized for my story telling abilities, distinctive and funny voice characterizations and accents.

Most recently, I created the off stage voice characters for the one woman show; Naked and Flailing, and by special request, appeared in a Woodstock Playhouse fundraiser doing a comedic reading from my new manuscript; Empty Songs and Vacant Melodies.

My Training

I am a sculptor, musician, writer, and actor, always being asked to do phone messages for companies and individuals who are seeking something distictive and impressive. Studios are a home away from home for me, having spend much of my life in them.

I have also studied and performed with actor Alan Arkin, doing improvisational theater workshops.

With an Engineering Degree, a Master's in Marketing, and a Ph.D. in a Business development field, my voice over work carries the authority necessary to convey technical and scientific material with ease and confidence, along with entertaining or commercial and promotional copy.
