My Voice Experience
- Business voiceover (RP) for Women in Business website.
- Two contrasting character voiceovers for fun new soundtrack for classic b/w movie The Werewolf in London (Lady Forsyth: upper class; Mrs Whack: lower class).
- Clear English for corporate work, such as English-language audio pack for Italian teenagers.
- Documentary-style narration for a film about the British suffrage movement.
- Voiceover for a short film on domestic energy consumption.
My Training
- From 6-18, I undertook intensive acting classes and LAMDA exams (learning vocal and breathing techniques at a young age).
- I have a BA Hons in History of Art, and have used this in many ways, from editing art books to giving cultural guided tours. My love of art, history, culture, fashion etc. is something that I enjoy bringing to documentary work in these fields.
- For many years I worked in book publishing. This gave me first-hand experience of doing business presentations, addressing sales conferences, giving lectures and so on. I therefore bring an empathy and integrity to corporate work.
- From 2006 I have steadily built up an acting career (film, TV, stage and voiceover work), while at the same time undertaking many courses and workshops to broaden my skills.
- Relevant training to voiceover work includes vocal technique classes at London's Actors Centre, and Accents for Actors at London's City Lit. I have also undergone acting for radio training, as well as autocue and interview training for TV.
