My first voice over project was for "The Stolen Child", a short film by I Believe Productions. Also for the company, I performed in a short called "Metal 4 Ever" where I played twins, making my voice sound deeper for one and high-strung for the other. Since then, while I have been in school rather than in the workforce, I have extensively studied theater (part of my double-major, in fact.) For my work in Bennington College's production of "Angels in America" I used a New York accent, and in my speech class I learned the Midatlantic accent (which I later used for other school projects.) In addition, I took several music-related classes- Sacred Harp, which calls for loud, brash and unpolished singing, Cabaret, where I worked on suggestive and sensual singing, and Opera, where I used my mezzo-soprano voice for dramatic purposes, including difficult atonal music.
I will soon attain my degree from Bennington College (B.A. in Liberal Arts, with a concentration in Theater and Psychology.)
Specific classes included Voice and Speech Workshop, Sacred Harp Singing School, Whose Opera, Shakespeare: Embodying the Text, Criminal Intimacies: Cabaret, Readers' Theater, Nuts and Bolts (intense scene work), The Actor's Instrument, Five Approaches to Acting, Aural Skills (pitch recognition), Groundworks (music) and Angels in America (faculty production.)
Graduate of Huntington High School, where I won the girls' Theater Scholarship and was named Most Theatrical by the senior class.
Two-time award winner of Nassau Community College Monologue Competition (first place and second place.)
