Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Accents include Southern, Deep South (Mississippi, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Texan, Texas), Eastern European (Russian, Lithuania). I also speak fluent Lithuanian, and have done extensive recordings in this language. I speak some German with a Mannheim or Heidelberg dialect.

My Voice Experience

Most recent job: voiceover narration for internet based education testing program. Experienced in voice-overs, comedy, characters, accents, turns-on-a dime comic timing. Recent bookings include a Lithuanian medical services phone tree, a pharmaceutical drug testing internal telephone directory, and a two-hour film narration in Lithuanian for the British prison system. Many short stories recorded for audiobook and podcast. Lithuanian language Footlocker/Western Union radio ad broadcast in Chicago. Private reader for Shirley Novick, Lou Reed's 99 yr old cousin (who is legally blind). Wrote and recorded copy for various local radio ads in Texas. Produced and directed weekly radio drama hour. AFTRA member. Outgoing voicemail messages for Bank of Tokyo, Ltd. Narrative voiceover for New York theater production (newscast).

My Training

Teachers in NYC include private classes at PDR Voiceovers (one-on-one with Peter Rofe), Voice of Success (with David Zema) and Glen Holtzer. Comedy & Improv skills. Ten years' NYC stage experience. College degree in Voice Performance (classical music). Columbia University School of the Arts (MFA).

My Studio Equipment

I live in Manhattan and have occasional access to actual recording studios for the right client. Will, of course, record at any NYC recording studio or other client location at the client's expense.

Excellent acting skills. Superb voice talent. Quick comic timing. Great at cold reads and long copy (books, etc.) Facility with medical, chemical, literary, and diplomatic language. Expert in narration, real people. Character voices include vapid blonde, blue-collar waitress (nice and/or mean), wine snob, nagging and/or loving wife and mom. Fantastic range. Also a sci-fi fan who does great voice-over monster and "friendly" Westworld or Star Trek type computer voices or futuristic voicemail greetings and voiceovers.
