Voice Description

I describe my voice as being the typical "Guy from the neighborhood." It's a voice easy for customers to identify with and is not intimidating. Also, can be very strong and commanding like an experienced lawyer or businessperson. Or soothing and in charge, like an airline pilot. Able to inject dry wit and wry humor when appropriate. Can do a strong Chicago dialect ala "Da Bears."

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Great Chicago dialect. Able to do several impersonations, but "Yoda" is my crown jewel. Can do most accents including Boston/New England, Midwestern, Southern, etc.

My Voice Experience

I have done voiceover work ranging from local radio commercials here in Chicago, to infomercials broadcast on national television.

I am a working actor having performed in over a dozen films and several productions on the Chicago stage.

My Training

Trained actor having honed my acting skills with the highly regarded and nationally respected Piven Theater Workshop, including personal training from Joyce Piven. Also trained with Act Studios and The Green Room.

Received specific voice-over training from private coaching sessions from Marice Tobias and Sherri Berger at Voice Over U.

My Studio Equipment

I am able to deliver WAV files or mp3's from my home. They are suitable for auditions but probably not for most voice projects. I typically go to a local studio here in Chicago to record the actual voice jobs themselves.

Have spent over 15 years working for marketing and advertising agencies on the account/strategy side. Being not a former but a current advertising executive, I know how important it is to get your audience's attention focused on the key message. Simply stated, I am a professional.
