My Voice Experience

I started my voiceover career 11 years ago while in Port Elizabeth - South Africa. I did commercials, station ID's and promo's. I left there in 1999. I went back for a visit in Jan 2002 and my voice was still on the radio having done no new work during the period of my absence. Having been told many times since then that I have a great voice, I have decided to re-launch a full time voiceover career. I am determined to MOVE >>> FORWARD and further develop my skills and talents to become one of the top voiceover talents in the world.

My Training

I took a course at the McHenry County Community college in October of 2008. The teacher was Mike Elmore of Voices for All. He is one of the top voiceover talents in the industry. I was given a wonderful review by he and the staff. They gave me a wide range of areas for doing voiceover work as well as a wide target age range for the voiceover audience. I had a one on one class with Donovan Weyland in December of 2008. We worked on delivery techniques, voice variations and characterizations as well as techniques to put myself in the character of the voiceover. Donovan Weyland is one of the top producers of voiceovers in Chicago, which is the voiceover capital of the world!

My Studio Equipment

* Audacity software & Audix Microphone in my home studio.
* I have easy access to a studio which has a Mac with the most recent Pro Tools software and a variety of mics.

Additional Skills

I have 15 plus years of experience in the banking/financial services industry. This includes the following designations of series 7, 24 & 63 with which I am licensed to sell/maintain client portfolios of stock/bonds/annuities as well as supervise financial representatives who sell the above mentioned products to clients. I have experience in community development in South Africa and have developed a wide network of contacts there and in other countries of the world.
