My natural voice is RP but as I was born in Wiltshire my native accent is West Country; I have a good ear for any accent from the UK or overseas, specifically English speaking countries such as the USA, Australia or South Africa. I speak French and German and can even manage a few words of Greek. I am also happy to use other voice types to match a given brief, from Noel Coward to cartoon characters.

My Voice Experience

I am a trained actor so am used to expressing meaning through my voice in a variety of media. I am a big fan of radio drama and am used to open air theatre work and the need for intensity in a small space though film and television work. I am a voice over artist for the Discovery Channel, voicing various characters in a narrative style.

My Training

I have been trained by Elizabeth Gradwell of the New Era Academy of Speech and Drama, Roger jenkins of the Bristol Old Vic and the BBC and have attended workshops with Cicely Berry of the RSC.

Additional Skills

Before turning professional as an actor I worked in the advertising industry so I am well used to making presentations; in fact I trained junior account executives in Presentation Skills and the use of the free voice to emphasise key selling ppoints in a persuasive and sincere manner
