My Voice Experience

My voice over experience ranges over a wide variety of areas. From dubbing in feature films (such as 'Godzilla Final Wars' in Tokyo), to providing the main narration and tag lines in television commercials, to ESL projects in New York, to internet and intranet recordings here in Australia. Currently I can be heard as the main voice for the CMC Markets campaign and as the voice presenter on the Rio Tinto intranet site. Some of my other clients have included the NFL (US), Brinks Security (US), Siemens (US), Clairol, Maggi, Kia, Goodyear, The International Motor Show, The Australian Taxation Office, Fairway Chase, ACTU, etc, etc.

My Training

My training and education includes living in the US for 11 years (9 years in New York and 2 in LA). I trained as an actor with Uta Hagen and others. Please go to www.mickpreston1.com for a full list of acting credits. As an actor I've performed extensively in theatre, film, television, voice overs, presenting and corporate work. I studied voice extensively at the HB Studio in New York, as well as with Patsy Rodenburg (NYC), and currently with Stephen Costan (VCA). I also just completed a voice over course with Gary Mac in Melbourne as well as numerous commercial classes in New York and LA. Apart from that I hold a B.Ed (one of my subjects was media studies) and currently teach acting at various schools in Melbourne).

My Studio Equipment

Presently I do not have any voice over equipment at home but will set up in the near future. I do, however, have access to 2 studios in neighboring suburbs.

Additional Skills

Apart from the above I have over 15 years experience as a performer in all facets of the industry...and I teach drama...and I study Wing Chun Kung Fu...so if you need any 'hiya!!!' sound effects let me know!
