My Voice Experience

Best oral reader prize goes to Michelle. At six I was thrilled. I loved to read out loud and tell stories. While the other kids were recieving awards for science and math I was noticed for my reading abilities. Here I am many years later still reading out loud and loving it. With credits in theatre, film, puppetery, storytelling, public speaking and voice over I am able to adapt from commercial to cartoon. I have commercial voice overs on TV and radio and am currently recording a cartoon series, at the same time rehearsing for a play to be staged in November. "See Sally run", that was my beginning.

My Training

Wilmont communitcation Services has been the background to my voice-over training school. I have taken a number of courses with them. I also come from a background of twenty years acting on stage. I have performed as far away as Yorktown Heights, New York to Jakarta Indonesia. I have studied drama at U of C, Valhalla, New York, Rogues Theatre, Epcor for the performing arts and more. I have been a professional Puppeteer for 10 years, established well rounded characters that I work with on an ongoing basis. I have written songs and have my own CD. I have also written numerous shows for young children.

Additional Skills

I love playing with character and voice. To be able to use my voice as my instrument to reach an audience is as much fun behind the mike as it is on stage! From public speaking to creating a puppet character the voice is the power. Training with Dale Carnigie gave me insight into the corportate world and puppets and theatre have given rise to heart warming creations, all steming from imagination. I can see in my mind what a person might look like if they sound a certain way, but how I love to challenge you to guess who I am through my voice!
