I have done three audio book chapters - Chapter 9 of Anna of the Five Towns by Arnold Bennett, which included multiple characters and accents; and 2 chapters of Steep Trails by John Muir, which is a descriptive account of his adventures on Mount Shasta. These last two chapters included many complex Latin names of the flora and fauna that he observed.
I've done a complete corporate software demo, including the animated screen capture and voice over for a web application. I produced the entire demo from start to finish, including writing the copy, creating the slides, capturing the screen animation with Camtasia, and recording the accompanying voice over. This was used at trade shows and on the company's website.
Ive also recorded numerous IVR prompts and automated voice mail system recordings for 3 different companies, and I've done recordings of guided meditations for our local meditation center.
I have a B.S. in Engineering from the University of California, Riverside. I studied music and dramatic arts in high school where I learned to tap into characters. I completed the Such A Voice Master Class and have ongoing mentor sessions with my voice over coach.
I have ProTools LE 8 with an MBox 2, which I run on a MacBook Pro, OS 10.5.8. I use a Rhode shotgun mic with pop-filter and Shure studio headphones.
I have a real eye and ear for detail, and I am a perfectionist by nature. I am very computer saavy and have taught myself most of what I know simply driven by my own natural curiosity. I am very comfortable doing first reads and have good instincts on the pacing and inflections needed for a particular piece.
I have an educational and career background in engineering and the sciences so I am very confident articulating complex medical and computer terminology.
I also speak and read fluent German and have been told by numerous German natives that I speak German like a native, with no detectable American accent.
