My Voice Experience

Extensive experience recording e-Learning narrations and CD-ROMs. Experienced vocalist/singer, with a bluesy alto voice.

My Training

I sort of "fell into" voice work. I am a writer by trade, and I took a job as a sales trainer for a Fortune 500 company in 2003. We create dozens of e-Learning courses each year. I tried serving as narrator for the first time in August 2003, and it turns out that I am very natural-sounding behind the microphone, and that I am able to maintain the natural tone even on a cold read. I have since become "the voice of training" and have recorded many, many courses.

Additional Skills

I also started singing at church a couple of years ago, and have developed my singing voice. I have performed in front of as many as 700 people at a time, and I am told I have a very clear, warm, bluesy tone.

Obviously, given my trade, I am a fairly accomplished script writer and copy editor, too, and would be willing to lend those services to my clients.
