Voice Description

My voice can sound childlike(5-10).It is naturally high pitched and very bright, but can also be very warm and seductive. I have a smooth tone which is ideal for presentations and commercials. I sing alto in a rich tone or very high pitched soprano. I can speak a broken creole french, southern twang and mexican accent. I have performed songs and can sound like Christina Aguliar, Mariah Carey, Teena Marie and Eva Cassidy. I can also sing animated scores meant for youth and early adults. I am a very versital singer and can adapt to different styles such as musical theatre, country, jazz, pop, funk and R&B.

My Voice Experience

Originally a showband singer and actress in Dallas Texas, I have a little bit of everything to offer. I performed vocally many of the top artist in todays culture from musicals to pop I can do it all. I did voice over work in Dallas featured as a mother and 4 year old child. I have performed and written jingles for a company out of Houston, TX. I am also a songwriter and can come up with catchy melodies in my sleep. (It's totally true...I dream songs all the time.) I have been featured in a few films as an actress and have maintained my membership with SAG. I have completed several music (Solo and with others) CD's in studio. I can harmonize very well and hear the parts on my own. I am quick to pick up melodies and able to learn a song on the spot. You tell me what to do and I can do it whether it is speaking as a child or singing in a sexy seductive tone. I have a broad range of talent and would love to be heard.

My Training

I studied voice over work and acting for film at Kim Dawson Studio in Dallas Texas. I also minored in Theatre at the University of North Texas where I was also able to take 4 years of voical lessons. I studied musical theatre and voice acting at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York for two years. I served as the Public Information Specialist for Child Protective Services for 4 years was able to speak on camera for news and cable interviews. Currently, I am the Public Information Specialist for Harbor Regional Center in Torrance, CA and do awareness presentations to the community several times a year. I am also editor of the Harbor Happenings Newsleter.

Additional Skills

I have been performing since the age of 7 and have been named one of the 10 Drama Finalist in the State of Louisiana. I am an excellent writer of poetry. I was a social worker for many years and have studied the voices of many people from all walks of life. That opportunity has broadened my knowledge of people and real life issues. I catch on to accents pretty quickly.
Currently, I am an event planner/public information specialist and pretty much a jack of all trades and master of none. I have performed songs that are reminscent of an animated Walt Disney film to pop, jazz and country. I feel my voice would be an asset to anyone willing to give me a chance.
