My Voice Experience

Born in Southern California, the land of no discernable dialect, I moved to Oklahoma in my early teenage years.
I never really talked like an "okie", but I can reproduce it on command. Attended broadcasting school and mastered inflection and timing, among other talents.
Worked in small market radio, doing voice-overs for furniture store, jewelry store and countless other commercial concerns. Created "Fair Game", a comedy-satire radio program on the Univ. of Oklahoma's KGOU in the middle 80's. Wrote and directed such continuing sagas as..."The 2nd Richest Man In The World" and "Boy Rogers, Queen of Outer Space". Discovered after 10 weeks that Oklahoma was not ready for a Firesign Theatre-meets-SNL-meets-Monty Python kind of audio assault. Started working as a DJ in clubs,including Sugers club in Norman, Ok., writing and performing in several radio-worthy spots that, due to the cheapness of a club owner, are still waiting to be broadcast.Have had to deal with drunks and strippers,(sometimes drunk strippers) and never missed a beat. I thrive under pressure.

I've got an Emachine and a Logitech mic. Yes, it is simplistic, but simple works out pretty well sometimes.

I'm mature,reliable, and trustworthy.I can work under pressure, (if you call being able to sell merchandise and services while dodging ashtrays...pressure) and have the ability to sell or convince an audience to act, because I can write to fit the audience. My ego does not supersede the needs of the client, but I can offer constructive ideas to make the project better. I enjoy working and interacting with creative people and delight in the shared success of a project. I may be older...but I ain't dead or stupid.
