Voice Description
I am an extremely versatile voice talent. Professional, snide, silly, cartoon like - there is nothing that I am limited to. I can speak with accents of English, Spanish, southern, east coast, west coast and many more. My normal speaking voice has a smooth professional tone. For some reason I have an all too natural ability to sound as arrogant as a high profile attorney. I can switch that to a comforting, customer service infomercial tone just as naturally. I can be a hero or villain. I am also capable of character voices, like Golem from Lord of the Rings, Yoda, Barney, and others.

My Voice Experience
I am a new voice over artist and have yet to join the ranks of the many. But once I get started, I will not stop until I have forced my breath upon every last microphone in the world!... Or at least enough of them to pay my mortgage. So, Come one come all! Be my first piece of real experience and have your story listed here in my profile!
My Training
After several years working for numerous banks and companies around the country as a successful Collection Representative (# 8 out of 500 reps in the nation for one particular bank), I began to loath my miserable job and came upon a clip from a popular video game showing the voice talent behind the mic. At this point I knew that my future was in voice over. I attended a two part course at KRJ Productions in Chicago IL. under the guidance of Kirk Johnson Sr., an amazing teacher and an incredible voice over. He also produced my demo. Shortly afterward, I got married, purchased a home and now I am ready to live my dream. I currently supervise a high profile mortgage call center. I have worked in the customer service field for 6 years. I have sold, collected, serviced and conveyed information everyday. My constant communications with the people of the world has provided me with unparalleled experience observing different voices and personalities.
My Studio Equipment
I am just starting up so my home rig for now is just an Olympus DS40 Digital voice recorder and my laptop. I do have easy access to a home recording studio that belongs to a long time friend and band mate where we regularly make use of Shure, SMG, and Sennheiser microphones. We use a DigiDesign Pro-tools rig for recording software.
Additional Skills
My experience in the Customer Service world has given me endless training in verbal communications. Every ear in the world prefers a different voice, tone, and speed of speaking before they truly listen. It's almost like psychology. You have to know the product as well as the consumer for them to even hear you. These skills blended with a natural sick sense of humor, presto! Michael Rupar, Voice Over Extraordinaire wants to work for you!
