Voice Description

My voice is low tenor/high baritone; a singer once described me as a "bari-tenor". Can dip into lower registers for spoken work. Some say I have a movie trailer voice; many say that I have some similarity in my voice to Alec Baldwin. Born in Ohio, educated (currently attending graduate school for Playwriting) and raised on the East Coast (DC area), I am capable of a coastal dialect. Some family from Texas and Louisiana, so I can mimic those accents to a degree. Have been a stage actor for the past 15 years. I have the ability to be warm and clear for commercial and film narration, able to enunciate with clarity and a minimal nasality for financial commercials. My voice can project confidence. Able to go smoother and higher energy for radio spots. I'm also able to get gravelly and rumble, especially for character or cartoon work.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Can impersonate Marge Simpson, a Marine Corps drill instructor, George W. Bush; New York, D.C., New England, Ohio, "Suthern" (Southern), Texas (that's "Tay-hoss" to you carpetbaggers), vague resemblance to Fred Dalton Thompson, modified Tennessee(is that even a region?). I can provide some Irish and British accents. Have taken Russian and French; can impersonate accents in those languages, although I am not completely fluent.

My Voice Experience

I am new to voice over work, having been an actor in the Midwest for some time. I am looking to branch out into something challenging, new and exciting.

15 years theatre arts experience - amateur and professional - Columbus, Ohio.

My Studio Equipment

Can make trips to any studio in Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, Columbus, or Pittsburgh. I am new to the field and do not possess audio equipment at this time. Hopefully, after some bookings, that will change.

Additional Skills

Playwright - capable of writing advertising copy for clients if need be.

Worked for 4 years in the mortgage industry - extremely familiar with financial terms and conversant in their language.

Worked for 8 years in computers/IT fields. Conversant with technical terms and support issues with computers.

Actor - able to create characters for voice over work, animation, other theatrical and performance endeavors. Available for film. Have portrayed roles such as Brick Pollitt (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof), Biff Loman (Death of a Salesman), Juror #8 (12 Angry Men) and many, many others.

Worked as a legislative aide in the Ohio State House of Representatives - wrote speeches, dealt with constituents, handled bills in subcommittees.
