Voice Description

My natural sound, when conversational, is young and energetic. My annunciation is clear and easy. I Can change the sound and pacing to fit most any style. From a soft easy "warm" sound, to a hard "monster truck" (Sunday! Sunday! Sunday!).

I do voices and some imitations outside of my natural voice or region. Although I have extensive voice work experience, my voice does not sound over resonated or over produced, unless it needs to sound that way for effect.

I have learned the importance of different speaking styles to deliver a point. From serious and persuasive, to comical and heart-warming, there are many styles I can perform.

I am southern and can put on a thick accent that sounds very authentic, but since I do have years of commercial experience, I can easily sound accent free.

My Voice Experience

For almost 20 years I have worked in radio and television. I also have experience in other voice areas as well. I started when I was 15 and now at 34 I have come a long way in finding different styles.

Working many different types of radio formats, I have learned to change the tempo and resonation of my voice to fit an audience.

Currently, I work as a television commercial producer and lend my voiceovers to several local commercials. Since television tells a story differently than radio, I have picked up skills from this area.

In addition to radio and television, I have done voice work for corporate presentations, on hold phone voiceover, voicemail greetings and messages, movie voice work and documentary voice overs.

My Training

I have a degree in communications. I took private voice lessons for nearly 10 years. I have performed in theatrical presentations under professional guidance. Many years of public speaking and oratorical competitions.
