My Voice Experience
My 19 Yr. Career Got Started In Texarkana At KTWN In 87' Doing Parttime stuff and Board Op and in my downtime at that gig I Would Rip And Read Spots That Had Already Been Produced,A Client Heard One Of My CM's And It replaced the Existing Spot Which Pissed Off The Talent That Originally Produced the Spot,But Thats When I Started Really Looking To Do As Many V/O's I Could Get My Hands On. I Stayed On Until 90' And Went On To PD Stations In New Boston,In 94' I Became The Production Director @ KTOY,Gained A Lot Of Prod Management And Prod Skills Then It Was Off To KLLI For A Short On-Air/Prod Stint Where I Was First Introduced To Scott Studios Digital Editing.I Did A Lot Of Quality V/O Work There.Eventually That Station Was Bought Out By Clearchannel And Consolidated With Four Other Stations In The Texarkana Area And Then I Became The Production Director Of That Group And Got To Work All Kinds Of Editing Software While At The Same time Fine Tune My Voice And My Editing Skills,This Also Where I Became High In Demand For My Crunchy Concert And Exhibition Spots To Which Still Pays For Some Of The Equipment I Bought For My Recording Studio At Home I Am Currently The Imaging Director At Power 95-9 (CHR)and On Air Afternoons 3P-7P, I Still Produce Commercials On the Side But Usually It's After Hours At My Home Studio.
