Voice Description

I am able to manipulate my voice in many different ways depending on the voiceover need. I can make my voice sound rustic like the old west tough guy, I can sound very professional for presentations. I read and relate information very smoothly even when reading for the first time. I am very good with over-the-top voices and with cartoon voices. I enjoy making people laugh and as a by-product have developed the ability to do a number of "theme" voices as well as many favorite cartoon characters such as Marvin the Martian, Mickey Mouse, Elmo and many others. I can do a number of accents including Australian, Irish, Scottish, English Proper and Southern Gentleman (or lady). I can growl as I speak and can maintain my different voices for an indefinite period of time.

My Voice Experience

I have no commercial experiance as of this time. I have spent most of my time entertaining friends and family with short impressions. I spent about a six month time frame when I was 17 speaking only with an Australian accent and had numerous strangers convinced that I came from that region. I also spent around 6 hours with a gentleman where I spoke only with a Southern Gentleman accent and he was unable to tell that it was anything other then my normal tone of speaking. His immediate responce was to ask if I was from Kentucky which was the accent I wanted him to hear.

My Training

I have no formal training in voice-overs. I have done my voices throughout the years mearly for the entertainment of those around me. I have been told numerous times that I should pursue a career in performing voice-overs due to my vocal control and the way I can near perfectly immetate so many people and characters.

Additional Skills

I have been in martial arts for around 18 years. I often time use the tone and inflection in my voice to bring accross different points to a student. This is done by making the point sound very important and by first catching their attention with my voice. I have a strong belief in helping out non-profit organizations or organizations dedicated to children in some way and would be willing to work for very little for such organizations. When using my normal voice, I have a small speech impediment, however, it has never crossed over into my voices.
