My Voice Experience
Years in theater and radio have led me to this place. I have acted as radio disk jockey (on-air AND on film), and have been front-stage in a number of theater productions.
I have been the emcee at family gatherings and large-scale sporting events, and everything in between.
I have read current interest pieces for an online news service, provided "guy next door" testimonials for a regional television campaign, encouraged college-age trade show attendees to participate in medical studies, and welcomed callers to the automated phone system of a federal law enforcement agency.
Most recently, I have provided the informative narration for a series of interactive DVDs on Diabetes education.
My Training
In addition to years of experience working in the field, I have earned two college degrees in speech performance and communication/voice disorders. As an element of this training, I have helped to treat and train other professional voice users in broadcasting, politics, and theater.
I have had extensive otolaryngological ("head, nose, and throat") training which not only gives me a better understanding and greater control over my own voice, but also adds to my familiarity and comfort with complicated medical terminology!
