Voice Description

I am a native English speaker, but I also speak spanish. On other voice over assignments I have made my voice soft and inviting, kind and calm, excited and energetic. I voice is unique from every other voice over talent heard seemingly everywhere. My voice over sounds natural and conversational, not as if I'm dictating to the listener.

I try to avoid a distinct dialect, but I can add a sounthern drawl to my voice if needed. I am also open to trying other dialects/accents.

My Voice Experience

I have two years radio experience at WUTK-FM as a DJ, new reporter and anchor, and voice over talent.

I have recorded station promos (energetic and upbeat), underwriting spots (tempo depends on client) where clients ranged from bars/clubs to Non-profit events/benefits. I have voice spots requiring language changes from English to Spanish and back to English within a single line of copy.

My Training

I am working on a B.S. in Communication and Information from the University of Tennessee. I will graduate on August 10, and have focused on broadcasting. I will be doing an internship during the summer at WNOX-FM in Knoxville, a Citadel Broadcasting station.
