Voice Description

I have a smooth voice that is described as sincere, articualte, intelligent, honest and convincing. I can create a sense that the listener will perceive as a direct conversation, and will feel comfortable with absorbing the information being presented. This works well for advertisements. I can speak quickly with out losing any emphasis or sounding too rushed, and can thus convey a lot of information in a short time. I also have the ability to adapt to characters using voices that convey a sense of animation, such as those in children's stories.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

British, German, Scottish, French accents. I can reproduce many voice characterizations I hear (anything from redneck to surfer to mad scientist, etc), and I can create new ones that can be subtle or extreme according to the demand of the character / script.

My Voice Experience

I have done a series of radio advertisements (including writing and editing the copy) for the company I manage, and I have been told by so many listeners that I ought to get into voice-over recording because of the quality of my voice, that I have decided to offer my services. I have had extensive experience both as a professional audio engineer and a performing studio musician, so I am fully versed on the technical and economic aspects of recording and production.

Access to 36 channel Mackie digital audio console configured to record directly to hard drives for multi-track recording, mix-down, and mastering. Includes on-board digital effects, compression / gating, parametric equalization, noise reduction and digital momory storage to save settings.

Various software to provide recording, mixing, mastering and conversion to multiple formats.

Varous microphones (carteoid, condenser, ribbon - brands include Sure, AKG) to acquire high quality spoken voice recording, as well as specific effects using various micing techniques.
