My voice has been complimented by women and men alike. I have done public speaking, MC'd shows, made announcements, given speeches, read poetry, and sung onstage. I have read for, but not recorded for the Blind.
I am told my voice is deep, rich and soft, an FM voice as opposed to an AM radio voice as it were.

I have been told I should get into voice overs by people who work in that field and on the radio here in Baltimore and San Francisco. But I was also told that this is pretty much a closed field and that the competition is very tight. Why not try? The worst they can say is No Thank you!
