I have had experience reading children's books and using various accents and voice inflections to match characters in the stories.

My Voice Experience

I have had experience with narrating online documentaries and doing promos for websites.
I have uploaded a portion of my most recent documentary voiceover produced by writer Andrew Smith of Gateshead, England.
I began in 1986 doing voiceovers for audiotaped projects which are now available online with new narration done by me. Most of these are at the website
and include voiceover introductions and promos.
In the 1990's I did public service announcements for WCNI in New London, CT.
In October, 2008, I did a video podcast interview which can be found on the front page of the Laurel and Hardy forum ().

My Training

I have a Bachelors Degree in History and a Masters Degree in Special Education.
I took a class in Providence, RI, in the mid 1980's on voiceover training.
I have studied amateur filmmmaking and have filmed and edited several short subjects on Super 8mm film.

My Studio Equipment

I have an in-house studio for a band I practice with monthly.
I am using a Samson c012u mic on a Toshiba laptop.

Additional Skills

I worked for over 30 years as a public school special education teacher.
During that time I often recorded stories and special projects for the students who liked the sound of my voice.
I have used and continue to use the Audacity audio editing program to remaster interviews and highlights from several conventions of the Sons of the Desert, a Laurel and Hardy appreciation group. I did and continue to do the voiceovers for the presentations, the latest released in September, 2008.
One of my interviews from 1986, with voice artist and actress Mae Questel, was included recently on the Mackinac Media dvd "Popeye: Original Classics From the Fleischer Studio".
