My Voice Experience

In 1970 I signed a CBS recording contract in New York and lost the deal all in one day because I couldn't put up the $$$$$ that was required, I could have had the deal as Dad had many friends but I backed down because I knew these people would want the money back or else LOL Since I didn't want to die at a young age I turned the offer down LOL. The president of CBS records tore the contract up.
Unlike the days of my parents when good talent was actively being discovered and financed you didn't have to sell yourself as a complete package with a finished product like today. (see Greif Garris letter) Besides, you have to have way too much ego and honestly, I just don't have that much. At this age, I prefer to be behind the scenes and write/arrange music. There are just too many other important things in life, like world hunger, animal rescue, and having fun doing my comedy stuff with Father Giuseppe's Puppet Time Theatre :) When my sister was a kid I used to put on puppet shows for all the kids in the neighbor hood doing all the Warner bros cartoon and sesame street voices with all the puppets, this is the easyest gig I ever had, its a blast! The Father Giuseppe's videos are totally ad lib too, no script at all, just think of an idea and turn the mic on LOL. The most difficult part of doing this is to just keep from laughing LOL

My dad had an office at Cesar's in Las Vegas in 1969 and his childhood friend was Peter Buonconsiglio (the first violinist in the Sinatra band) Most people know his son Lloyd from the group Stories, so I got to speak with Frank back stage allot. Frank told my dad once that he resented and laughed at all the imitators of him :) One night while I was singing at a small club off the strip called the South Pacific who walks in? you guessed it :) Frank Sinatra!
I was so nervous I almost peed my pants :) I could hardly sing! My dad asked me to sing 'All The Way' for him. The greatest complement I could ever receive in my whole life happened that night, Frank Sinatra had tears in his eyes, he said great job kid! but just don't ever let me catch you singing in this town again :) True story

Alais Father Guiseppe, computer, TV, Auto & electronics repair tech since 1966, musician, singer/songwriter, keyboard player, inventor. Married since 1972, no kids, 2 cats, Health nut, never even tried drugs, non smoker, non drinker, look half my age and I its all from stress :) I'm kind, loving, caring and never argue, only give love, but some people mistake kindness for weakness. So why am I so kind to others? because I found it only makes' them mad, its revenge I'm after :) Just kidding :)
