I started doing voiceovers in conjunction with my on-camera work. I would be shooting a commercial or industrial and then be called back in to do the voiceover. I have always been told that my voice is soothing, professionally it is now working for me! I have done voiceovers for the New York Times (TV), Trojan (Radio), Emjoi (Radio/TV, US/Canada), Elliptimill (TV - infomercial), Long Island Power Authority (TV/Radio), Travatan Z (Industrial), Healthmaster Blender (TV - Infomercial), Going Solar (TV Pilot), Sheer Skin (TV - Infomercial). I regularly work in commercials and industrials and am very comfortable with extensive copy on or off screen!
I have a BA in Dance from UMass/Amherst and also trained as a dancer at The Martha Graham School and the Alvin Ailey School in New York. I did commercial work between dance contracts when I started working professionally after college. I have been on stage and on-screen since I was able to walk and talk! I have now transitioned completely to working as an actress on TV and in voiceovers. I have taken commercial classes with Barry Shapiro, Brooke & Mary (of House Productions); TelePrompter and Ear Prompter Hosting classes with Pat Murphy Stark, Hosting class with Barbara Barna and Improv with Ari Voukydis at Upright Citizens Brigade. I have good comedic timing, I have a friendly voice and I am terrific with wordy copy.
I have access to a studio and sound engineer where I have taped numerous voiceovers.
I make my living as a commercial actress and host. I know how to deliver copy without 'selling', I know how to be friendly without sounding syrupy, and I know that articulation on my end is consistent with comprehension on the listeners end. I am funny and smart and I love my work! I have spent my entire lifetime as a performer, this is what I do.
