My Voice Experience

I am a professional narrator, working for ElementK in Rochester NY, where I have done and currently do narratives and voice-overs for such varied companies and commercial entities as Microsoft, Macromedia/Adobe, the PGA, Cintas, Petco,and Xerox Corp. I have recorded independently for Kodak training narratives, Brinks Security, and others. I have performed as a voice character in a talking book Christmas story produced by a well known greeting card company.

My Training

BS Degree, Communications, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. Concentration in Radio and Television Broadcasting. 20 years of Radio and TV experience in broadcast journalism script writing and on-air presentation; TV Anchor; commercial voice-overs and tags; Television Documentary writing, production and voice presentation. Two years of voice training at the Crane School of Music, Potsdam NY; 30 years of "little theater" stage experience, performing, producing, and technical (lighting, stage design.)

I'm a story teller; I voice a script so that it creates pictures in a person's mind. It's a skill I learned in televsion where description fills in details that are often missing from the images on screen, and from being on stage, where you "are" part of the story.
