Voice Description
My voice is crisp, clean, free of accents. My diction coach in college prided herself on determining where someone grew up based on their voice. She couldn't figure out my voice as it was too clear. She actually thought I had prior diction training, which wasn't the case. Accents are a lot of fun, with southern, British, Irish, German and Greek being the most. The timbre of my voice is smooth, with some nasal tones and glotal pitches, but these can be easily altered based on the work presented.

My Voice Experience
This is a new venture for me. Although I've had quite a bit of training - voice performance (opera, musical theatre, jazz and pop), diction, dialect - the only recorded work was at my former job, where I was the voicemail voice. Any option you chose, my voice greeted your selection. After I left, the company kept my voice on the phone service as everyone thought it was professionally done.
My Training
A lot of human study went into my decision to pursue voice over. In South Florida, it's a battle to negatively critique those voices that are "professional" and are heard on TV and radio. After hearing yet another mispronunciation, it made sense that I contribute to the vocal narrative to improve on the work currently heard.
I have a degree in Musical Theater - Voice Performance from Syracuse University. Studied under Arthur Storch (founder of Syracuse State, currently at the New School in NY). Vocal Studies with the late Helen Boatwright.

Additional Skills
Because of the clear nature of my voice, technical terms flow easily. Working in the insurance industry, reading medical terminology is almost second nature vocally.
