My Voice Experience
I started my voice over career by offering to read a sample for McGraw Hill Publishing. They took a chance on me and gave me my first job. After that I finished my degree in Radio from Columbia College Chicago as well as my demo. I included radio station imaging on my demo as it was something I really wanted to get into. I got that chance when I interned for Q101, one of the top radio stations in the country. I got the opportunity to do many commercials, phone scams, PSA's, several interviews, imaging and had lots of on-air time.
Not wanting to go down the road of Radio I did what every aspiring voice over has to do and I submitted demo's, hard copies, to all the agencies I could. About a year later I got a call from an Agent and started auditioning. I've been used for Mc Donald's industrials as well as many other small companies. I have always enjoyed the industrials, not what most would choose, but no matter what whenever I step into a booth I feel like I'm home.
