Voice Description

My voice is very emotionally expressive - it can range anywhere from a fun, flirty invitation to a smooth and professional presentation, and beyond. It is a mid-range alto, scalable up to soprano and down to tenor. I have no formal dialect training, but am good at picking up on speech patterns and making characterisation work through subtle changes in inflection and tone. I happy to do custom demos for a project with particular needs; just ask!

My Voice Experience

I've had a wide range of theater experience (some television, mostly stage), and also do a lot of reading aloud in a volunteer capacity. My skills are often honed on the extremely incisive critiques of easily-bored elementary school children. I've also done a number of recordings of adult works - both in the sense of "mature audiences only" and just reading and speaking for grown-ups.
I also run a motivational seminar and coaching program for clients in my day job, presenting material in an engaging and easily accessible fasion for people who are normally intimidated by the subject matter.

My Training

I've done a number of short apprenticeships under professional actors, learning their craft and how to present a variety of messages with simple tools. I have a limited amount of voice-specific training - in elocution, expression, pronunciation, and the science of speech. I am always on the lookout for new educational opportunities.
