My Voice Experience

I'm here in my little studio (den) addicted to Singsnap, singing and recording songs everyday, as much as I can. I love to entertain people, therefore I strive to keep them coming for more...how? Hmmm let's start by talking about my "phone sex hotline" experience LOL. I had to try it for myself. I only have 1 life to live, might as well make the most of it. Comments were positive (talking about my voice here) *wink* did that for a few days then moved on to karaoke hosting, where I was imitating the original artists. Now I'm hooked on Singsnap, where I can sing and record as much as I want for the world to see. MelanieV is my username if you're interested. www.singsnap.com

I did some voice over recording for a presentation that was held in a major corporation here in NB. My husband requested my services for an "online manual" he created. I was narrating the step by step manual during the presentation. He also works for a major corporation. Hosted some fashion shows and talent shows around the area back in 1998.

Hosted a francophone radio show for a short period of time, recorded a few commercial adds for the radio also.

My Training

No formal training as for voice and voiceover. It's a natural talent I have. I learn everything by ear. (music, songs, voice) Therefore, by listening to an accent, a dialect or a foreign language, I can quickly grasp the essence of it all and share it with the world ;)

I did participate in diction and wording workshops while in University. It was part of my phonetics course.

1998, graduated from HighSchool, 98 to 03 went to Unversity and College (Education and Correctionals)

Found myself a part time job with a Corporation in the Moncton area, was transfered to Saint John in 2004, still working for that Corporation. Stayed there until 2007, was involved in a bad car accident, took 6 weeks off and decided I needed to start something new.

Now I'm manager at La Senza and I have my own little recording setup in my den at homw.

Waiting for new challenges that involve my passion. :)

Additional Skills

The best thiing about me is that I love to have fun and create new things with my voice. I'm open for anything and I will try anything at least once. Failure is not a part of my vocabulary. If I fail, that means I have to try again and make it better. I'm very picky and perfectionnist when it comes to my voice. Constructive feedback is always appreciated!
