The flexibility of my voice expresses itself in the variety and diversity of assignments:
a warm, friendly, polite voice for presentations and voice over’s, it is not only dynamic for hard sell but also smooth, low and sensual for soft sell commercials, friendly and businesslike for voice response systems and lipsynch-recordings of any kind. The range of ages stretches from teenage voices up to an old woman, and of course many characters. (see below)

German is my first native language, Dutch the second. I live in the Netherlands for almost twenty years and have completed my actors education here as well.
My German, as well as my Dutch is free of accent. To maintain a current use of the German language and an authentic pronunciation I travel to Germany a few times per year, and keep myself informed by the German media.
I speak standard educated Dutch.

I speak many animal like voices, for instance: female beaver, hare, squirrel, hippopotamus, vulture, butterfly…
or exaggerated charactervoices for cartoons, such as: Mickey Mouse, Goofy, the three nephew’s/nieces of Donald Duck, Alfred Jodokus Kwack.
I have one speciality when it comes to celebraties: the german singer Nena.

My Voice Experience

I've built my experience as an all round voice over during the last 14 years. I work in three countries: the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
After finishing my studies at the theaterschool in Amsterdam I introduced myself to the biggest voicecasting-agency in the Netherlands: Multivoice. The combination of voicesound, all round talent, flexibility and capability of thinking along with the product and it’s target group caused the popularity of my voice: within 1 year I was the best booked female German voice over in the Netherlands.

My Training

Being trained in acting, singing, dancing and writing at the cabaretacademy for five years in the Netherlands, I was perpared for all kinds of singing and speaking performances. I was also able to develop my abilities in on screen- and radiopresentation. During my studies, I participated in a masterclass given by Jaap Brand, a well known Dutch radio presenter. On my first asignments I worked together with a German college of mine, who is a very experianced male voice over, called Peter Sänger. He was literally the German voice. I was inspired by his tremendous competence, observed him precisely and adopted some of his techniques, before I developed my own skills. The singing career at the academy as wel as the cabaret performances with my own group, and many experiences as a performer of poams prepared me also to ‘play’ with a text.
My musicality towards language has made me a very good lipsynchroniser. Very quick, exact, professional and thinking along. For instance: how to rebuild a phrase to make it fit better. The musicality and flexibilty of interpretation as wel as good rhetorical skills distinguishes a professional voice over.
As a director of musicals and cabaretshows and a language coach for young german voice talents, I completet my ability of knowing what to do and how to reach the intention I’ve aimd at/for, with any kind of text.
Textinterpretation and rethorical skills I developed in private classes with Günther Wirt in Berlin, a highly recommended german coach for rhetorics.
At this time I’m a very experianced (mostly) German voice over with a working background of 14 years. My erxeperience is build on a large variety of voice asignments. I’m the favorite femal German voice over for commercials in the Netherlands and Belgium.
In 2002 I attended lectures of communication at the University of Amsterdam (VU), the VU, to enlarge my knowlege of how to influence commercial information, regarding the group of clients (potential market) and the most wanted approach depending on this market.

Additional Skills

During the years I’ve builded a networks with other german voice over’s and female voice over’s covering the european languages Italian, Spanish, English and France. Any voice wich is recommended by me will be an absolute A-voice. I selected professional colleges, wich I have worked with, to recommend them as an extra service to my own work.
Because of my commitment during a recording some clients ask me to provide productional activities and postproduction direction as well.
My interest specifically in succesful and caring communication in businessterms leaded me to offer advice in how to deal with a German company, the German businesstyle and -language. Potential clients often underestimate a certain sensitivity regarding the German formality. I’ve had experience with many turned-down business contracts between clients from the Netherlands and German companies due to a disregard for German habits.
I offer coaching classes for upcoming voice talents in interpretation of a text, presentation, different use of voice and dynamics.
