Voice Description

I'm a native North American English speaker, fluent in French with a precisely Parisian accent that I can do in English and in French. I can do several Southern U.S. dialects, plus Midwestern and the neutral media dialect.

My voice is warm and sensuous, in a "natural woman" way. It's intellectual, it's silky, it's the earth and the sky meeting. It hits the heart before the eardrum. It's been called a voice of Peace.

My Voice Experience

I'm beginning professional voice work now. I have worked as a 9th grade English teacher, and my students would beg me to read stories to them.
I've acted in college...I was the only one in Heidi Coleman's acting class who could lie without the other students guessing.

My Training

I studied acting in college at the University of Chicago. I also studied media, communications, and anthropology.
This is minimal compared to the intensive studies of voices that I have done since I was a small child. Voices fascinate me. Conveying emotion and inspiring emotion are deep wells of personal interest to me. I've listened to audio books, and made audio recordings of my own voice reading, for years. My mother and I told each other stories every night of my childhood.
