Voice Description
My voice has been described as stately yet friendly, reassuring and warm, a voice you can trust. My delivery style has been likened to that of Walter Kronkite and Charles Kuralt, which may be a bit overdone, but it's happened. Some age has creeped into my voice, but those who've known me for years say there's little difference.
My broadcast background is news, hence I tend to be more inclined toward narrations of all kinds. I'm working on my commercial delivery.

My Voice Experience
Broadcast news and interviews are the basis of my core experience over the past 50 years. Two years ago I was invited to do a series of podcasts for an environmental web site, Green Options. It was a good experience, teaching me a great deal about the internet and podcasting in general.
I have since posted my own podcast site, dedicated primarily to people who talk too much and often say some really dumb things. There are times, however, when I back a cause and feature "good news." Voice clips are used in the podcasts.
The audio work is done at my home.
My Training
As stated above, radio and television news has been the backbone of my experience, although I've obviously done many commercials and a lot of editing.
Education has been in the school of "hard knocks" as we used to say.
My Studio Equipment
My 'studio' is in our apartment, equipped with a Logitec microphone, a Compaq computer and a wonderful Adobe Audition 1.5 software program. The microphone is obviously upgradeable, otherwise I can produce a studio quality sound.
The Adobe Audition software allows almost infinite possibilities in sound reproduction, allowing me to insert music, sound effects and audio clips into any presentation.
Additional Skills
As stated earlier, my career path has been primarily in radio and TV news. After several years of retirement the "bug" came back and I've been producing podcasts, the latest being Today's Raspberry, as a way of letting off steam over politicians and commentators with "Foot-In-The-Mouth" disease.
I'm very flexible, enjoy learning new things and developing my skills.
