Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I can do any accent I'm exposed to, but am particularly good at the various southern American accents, as well as British and Eastern Block areas as well. As for impressions, I have met and spoken with Seth MacFarlane, creator of "Family Guy," "American Dad," and "The Cleveland Show," and we have almost the exact same voice. I can perform any Seth MacFarlane character from "Family Guy" (Peter, Stewie, Brian, Tom Tucker, Carter Pewterschmidt, etc.) with nearly 100% accuracy, in tone and personality.

My Voice Experience

I'm a huge big-band era and radio fan. I love to listen to old narrators of newsreels and radio, as well as big band music from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I am nostalgic for the art and this music to come back. This passion made me want to add my voice to my own projects and get into announcing and radio. I started out as the PA and sports announcer my junior year at Lower Merion High School. I also narrated several student projects there, as well as founding the television news program, LMSD News. While in the film program at Drexel University I narrated many films and trailers, as well as provided character voices for over a dozen small projects. I co-wrote, narrated and starred in a 16mm film noir-style short. My co-op for Drexel was at 1340AM WHAT, a local Philadelphia AM radio station, where I produced and voiced numerous radio commercials, programs, and live broadcasts during my five months there.

My Training

Drexel University, Westphal College of Media Arts and Design, Film/Video Major. Relevant Classes: Acting for the screen, Sound post production, Advanced sound post production, Cutting trailers, Commercial production. Extensive Final Cut Pro and Pro Tools experience.

My Studio Equipment

Access to Fostex, Pro Tools, and various microphones. I am currently running Avid Pro Tools 8 with an MBox 3 on a MacBook Pro. My main voice microphone is a Shure SM7B, and I have a full theater-quality 5.1 surround set up as my studio monitor speakers. I also have a collection of antique microphones from the original Shure 55, to some old Electro-Voice mics, and I'm working on fixing an old RCA 44. These are all for a proposed 1940's-style radio show voiced by me and some friends, as well as a big band/swing/standards ensemble I'm trying to put together.

Additional Skills

I am a proficient trailers and commercial editor. I also have an extensive sound effect library with over 80 gigabytes of high quality, professionally recorded sounds.
