Voice Description

Matt's voice can be both that of a sassy young adult with attitude or a kind warm hearted young father. Matt can sound like the regular guy down the street, or the intellectual at the coffee shop. Matt can go very warm and quite cute or brash when needed. Matt can do dialects: Southern, New England, and mid-west in addition to the standard American. Matt is a singer, barritone up to a tenor. He does character voices, cartoon; evil kings, curious dwarfs, super heroes and wacky creatures, small children and old men. Matt has a large range of sounds. While his voice is very animated- it can also be an authoritive presence during narration.

My Voice Experience

Matt has let his voice fly all over the country entertaining children and adults. Matt has lent his voice talents to the creation of kings and puppies, dwarfs and professors, muscle men and superheros. Matt has been a singer in mythical lands, a devil in high opera, a comedic little dwarf at Christmas and a gruff laywer struggling through personal demons. He has acted extensively in theatre and film; has done stand up comedy and improvisation. Matt currently work at a production company as a Casting Director and Producer.

My Training

Matt learned voice over work at Sound Advice, Big House casting, in Chicago, IL. He trained as a voice talent in workshops, learned the trade through auditioning and booking jobs. At University Matt studied Theatre, went to acting school at the Circle in the Square in New York and later to the Second City conservatory for Improvisation in Chicago. Matt has been in countless plays, independent films, childrens theatre all over the country; Matt has done stand up and was a singer in a band.
