For nearly nine years, I used my voice talent to accomplish amazing things: I would call someone up - someone I didn't know and who didn't know me - out of the blue, at work, while they had their job and their to-do list on their mind and little else, and somehow, by leaving them a compelling message on their voicemail, I would convince them to pick up the phone and call me back. This is the first of many steps involved in walking a professional Marketing Executive, Accountant, Attorney or C-level officer through the process of leaving a perfectly good job in order to take another position. And I did it many, many times...and it always started with that first phone call, which almost always resulted in a voicemail message that against all odds was returned.
From an early age I trained in speech, debate and drama - and participated in these activities and classes all through Junior High and High School, including attending the UIL State Tournament for Humorous Interpretation and Debate as a freshman in High School. Also I have been a musician and songwriter since the age of ten. Frequent public speaking experience, both in the Army and in civilian life as a recruiter and professional trainer of recruiters, rounds out my experience using vocal skills professionally.
As a musician and graduate of audio engineering school, I currently own and use several pieces of recording gear, and I regularly add to my collection. I have several microphones, including RODE condensers, Cascade ribbon and tube mics, Shure, AKG and Electro-Voice dynamics. My signal chain normally incorporates any one of these mics into a tube preamp, then a compressor and equalizer, and then into my Digital Audio Workstation, which records at 16-bit/44.1 kHz sampling rate in WAV format. Certainly I am able to convert audio files to any one of several formats to suit the client's needs, including MP3, WMA, etc. I can also run my own sessions in any studio using both analog tape and digital formats, including Pro Tools.
In other creative endeavors, I've been told that I'm easy to work with. I normally find myself building consensus or negotiating between parties who disagree on one point or another, and some type of resolution is necessary before the project can move forward. In this way I feel I will be a great addition to your team.
