Voice Description

I voice can be used for a variation of projects. I can do projects aimed at a younger hip crowd, as well as sounding more middle aged. My voice definitely is suited for more conversational type projects. I can do mysterious, deep for movie trailers. I am working on different voices for cartoons, and am able to play around with voices for characters.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I have a slight New York accent, which I can play up if needed. I do actually have a knack for hearing a voice and being able to imitate quite well. It does depend on the voice, for instance, I do a great Johnny Cash, and for some reason will sing songs in his voice.

My Voice Experience

My father always said that he wanted to be a voiceover artist. I sound very much like my dad, and people were always commenting on our "distinctive" voices. I also had been doing stand-up comedy for awhile, and had been playing around with voices on stage. I finally decided to give it try, and have found that I enjoy it quite a bit. I'm fairly new to the industry and am waiting on my first job.

My Training

I started off by taking a class at the New York Voice Over Success Program, taught by Aria McKenna. She worked with us individually to discover what commercials and projects our natural voices are suited for. I've also taken comedy classes, both stand-up and improv, which helps if any improv is needed.

Samson CO3U USB Condenser Microphone. Cakewalk and Garageband recording/editing software.

Additional Skills

I have also been doing stand-up comedy, and comedy writing for the last 4 years. So I am comfortable on the mic, as well as very conversational.
