My Voice Experience

In 1994 I started to pursue my career as an English professor - just prior to my first semester a friend says "Man, you have a voice for radio!" Having little to no knowledge of this field I balked (I was raised to the sweet analog tones of vinyl or as the French say: "records") Said friend raised his antie and offered $20.00 to call our local modern rock stations and ask for a job. After a quick cold-call to the station the PD filled my head with very generous compliments and had me throw together a demo. Knowing nothing of the Biz I made a most embarrassing demo cassette, handed it to Ron who upon hearing this mess of mayhem offered me a job doing traffic reports during the afternoon drive time. Well the bug bit, the RF flowed through my veins and I was hooked. Now, over 15 years later and with Programming and Production management positions under my belt the on-air/corporate radio world has gone to crap.
