Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I'm confident I can handle just about any accent native to the United States. I live in West Texas, which is home to a sort of southern "twang." I'm originally from Illinois, though, so I know the Chicago accent very well. Characterizations are not a problem. I have experience from my college days as an actor. Need it funny? Need it serious? Light 'n' easy professional, or HEAVY professional - not a problem.

My Voice Experience

I'm just starting out as a voice over artist. That said, though, I have been a DJ for an online radio station for over a year now. As a lawyer, I'm used to using my voice as either a tool or a weapon, as the need may be. As a Flight Simulator enthusiast, I donated my voice to a program that simulates Air Traffic Control - a project that involved many hours of recording very small phrases, sometimes over and over to get them 'just right.'

My Studio Equipment

I do not have my own studio at this time. I do have "Audacity," a freeware computer recording program. It's actually full of bells and whistles, though all I've used it for so far has been straight voice recording for promos and news stories on the internet radio station I work for.

Additional Skills

Above all, I'm flexible. If it doesn't work the first time, I'm willing to stay at it until it DOES work. I like to think that I'm fun to work with, but I'm also professional in my attitude. I'm open to suggestions and helpful criticism. And if something doesn't work out, no hard feelings! Maybe the next project WILL work out.
