My natural voice is fairly deep, though not booming and quite animated when impassioned. I have learned from various directors in both community theatre and college to treat the speaking of lines as the playing of an instrument, and to adjust pitch and tone accordingly. My native accent is from the West coast (LA area), but in my studies as a stage actor I have had a lot of opportunity to extensively build characters and learn dialects. I am very capable of shifting my pitch and inflection to offer a cartoonish, solemn, or even a quite sinister effect (which was developed from being typecast as a villain for several years). Furthermore, experiences in guest relations, sales, and numerous speeches I have written and given as part of speech competitions have built my skills in the more oratory side of voice work. Characters are my passion but I am more than capable of speaking at a presentation/lecture setting or reciting a speech.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
I have studied German for 4 years and have developed some skill at the language but quite an expertise at a German accent(Frankfurt) and a Yiddish one from my upbringing in a Jewish family. I have also learned to effectively speak with both cockney and proper English pronunciation and to adopt an Irish accent as well. Lastly, I also received training in several varieties of the Southern accent, specifically Tennessee and Texas.
I can also play a variety of character types: the young adult, the old man, obnoxious, solemn, thoughtful, but I am most often cast as the eccentric or the villain/darker role in stage plays.
My Voice Experience
My voice experience stems directly from my upbringing on the stage. As I have pursued acting as a craft I have developed a specific interest in voice acting. In learning to be versatile in the physical building and portrayal of character, I naturally learned vocal versatility as well. I have played several offstage voice roles in classes and community theatre programs. Recently I have begun recording some voice acting work as part of small recreational projects amongst friends and wish to start seeking professional experience.
I have been learning the craft of acting and public speaking since I first enrolled in a performance program at the age of 7. I have been tirelessly been studying acting since and am currently a Theatre Arts major in my junior year at the University of Puget Sound.

While my initial experience is on the stage, I have always studied and followed voice acting in my spare time, hoping to move into the field fully after college. My abilities at acting have grown consistently with my training and I know that if given the opportunity to utilize my vocal skills I could both deliver great work and continue to improve.
