My Voice Experience
Mary Dignan has appeared in many TV commercials including Direct TV, Remax, Bally Total Fitness, Brinks Home Security and Sharp.
After deciding to branch out into voice over, Mary began private coaching with working voice over artist, Mandy Kaplan, who helped her master her read and put together an amazing demo.
Currently, Mary appears as the hostess for a yoga segment on ESPN2, where she is able to utilize her voice over talent!
My Training
As an acting major at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, I learned the importance of vocalization, annunciation, and dialects to create a character in a play or to simply sell a product on television.
After booking several commercials on camera, I thought, "Hey, who are those people who are doing the talking that we never see?" I soon found out that some of those people were my friends, who had these amazing voice over careers!
I began with a workshop and then private coaching with Mandy Kaplan, in Los Angeles. I put together a really great demo, and the rest is history.
