My Voice Experience

As a radio personality (both Morning drive and afternoon drive) I have many opportunities to record (and re~record)my voice. I have been dubbed 'Maryann, The Voice of the Motherlode'as I have voiced hundreds of commercials for local companies as well as some out of state.
A variety of podcasts have used my voice over talents and most recently voiced several roles on the new 'Simpsons/South Park' type cartoon; 'Doubtsourcing'.

My Training

Over 30 years ago I played Snoopy! Yes, the dog...on stage. Since then I have portrayed everything from a ditzy Mayfly in David Ives 'Mere Mortals' to a tough as nails Nun in 'Doubt'....and everything in between!!
I've acted in over 25 productions at Stage 3 Theatre Company in Sonora. Then in 2004 I became a Morning show jock on STAR 92.7 an AC Radio station. That's when I began to use my voice for commercials and realized this is better than acting...nothing to memorize and I don't have to wear eyeliner!
Local company's such as Golden State Cellular use my voice as their phone system voice...and Somewhere in the Napa Valley, deep in the vineyards my voice can be heard while riding a bus through a cavern narrating a 90 minute tour.

My Studio Equipment

I have easy access to state of the art equipment and can send my voice (processed or not) as an mp3 using the Adobe Audition software that I am very familar with.

Additional Skills

As a (music/Drama)teacher for 14 years prior to becoming a Radio personality I had many opportunities to use my voice in the classroom. Whether reading a story to hundreds of children or working as a Theatre Arts specialist in my after school program the activities I performed at the school (Twain Harte/Long Barn school district) were limitless!
