My Voice Experience

I am a grown woman with a part-time teachcing job and family. However, there is a part of me that seriously loves to PLAY! For me, it's being other people! I do this constantly as a Spanish/French teacher. To drive home a point, make a comparison or get the kids' attention, I may pull out one of my many characters! I never know when I'm going to need a gangsta, Arnold Schwarzenegger or Elvis to show up to my class! If they do, it's inevitably to help me teach the conditional, subjunctive or to show my joy that my students have learned something!

Those are my mornings, my afternoons are left to freelance either for Sara Lee, American Girls or the State of Wisconsin. Is it in another accent or language? All the better, all the more fun, all the more I get to "play"! And when play is work, it doesn't get any better "Don't you know" as my friend Sarah Palin would say!

I am the mom of 3 children and have a husband in the ministry. I have been dealing with crowds, congregations and classrooms for almost 27 years.

One of my daughters is Autistic and I have been very involved in Autism Awareness for the last 14 years, being past president of the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Autism Association. I have spoken all over the state about Autism and its treatment.
