In the past, I recorded several roles in plays for the blind and handicapped for the Library of Congress.
I did a lot of reading to children for BookPals, a program of the SAG Foundation, for which I was the East Coast coordinating director, working for the BookPals cofounder Mary Stuart.
My Training
I have a B. A. and an M. A. in theatre and English literature from Penn State, and took extensive graduate studies in theatre and acting at University of Denver, at HB Studio, at Weist-Barron, at Margo McKee's Soundstage, and also studied comedy improv at Chicago City Limits.
I'm a professional novelist and editor with 15 published novels, six nonfiction books, one short story collection, and I have edited over 30 anthologies. I was an Adjunct Professor at NYU, teaching genre writing, and taught magic and mindreading at The New School. Currently I edit "Sherlock Holmes Mystery Magazine." I also am cofounder and Artistic Director of a 30-plus-years-old nonprofit theatre, The Open Book, and have produced more than sixty showcases and two off-Broadway shows.
