Marty hosted scoreboard and post-game shows on the Kansas City Royals Radio Network and covered Major League Baseball, NFL football, NCAA football and NCAA basketball, including live reporting from the MLB All-Star Game, Orange Bowl and the Final Four. He is currently the stadium announcer for University of Kansas football.
