My Voice Experience

I have done character voices for animated film (DVD's), performing as a villain and criminal mastermind using a sinister approach. I have stage experience, having had a lead role in a British farce, reminiscent of Monty Python. I voice weekly scripts for messages-on-hold for companies across Canada and do monthly updates for Calgary's cable company. I have been in broadcasting for years, both radio and television, and continuously voice spots - straight and using characters. I have sung many radio jingles and have been in several bands, which has given me the necessary range to accommodate whatever a client might be looking for.

My Training

I hold a B.A. in Communications from the University of Calgary, and a broadcasting diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. I have taken voice acting classes through Chinook Animation. As I mentioned, I am a singer and drummer, having performed with many bands over the years. I have written articles for various publications and currently work for a radio station as an afternoon-drive host and news reporter/anchor. I have access to any equipment necessary for quality production.

My Studio Equipment

Adobe, Pro Tools, dbx at the radio station I work for. Additionally, the studio I do regular work for will allow me to voice outside work there and I can e-mail you the finished project.

Additional Skills

Other than what I've listed above, my continous connection with radio broadcasting lends itself to maintaining the ability to do voiceover work efficiently. The production company I work for would tell you one of my strengths is my ability to get it right the first or second time when deadlines are a factor. I believe my time in the business has helped me train and vary my voice to meet the requirements of most projects.
