My Voice Experience
Announcer, "Puppet Playhouse" Short Film, Medicom Productions, Green Bay, WI, Feb 2008
GHOST OF X-MAS PRESENT: in "A Christmas Carol", CSU East Bay, 2005, Had to have a Scotish Accent and be very loud, jolly, boistrous.
ARGANT: "Scapin the Cheat", CSU East Bay and Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Edinburgh, Scotland, July-Aug 2006, Had to be an older Gentleman who was a big windbag, always talking sophisticated and refined, expressing his deep understanding of the world, but really being clueless. This required a lot of voice use to express emotions as I had a cane the whole play so couldn't use my hands/body to emote.
Little Ceasars Pizza TV Commercial, Star Trek costumed member, 1993
RADAR OPERATOR (OS2), in the US Navy, 2 tours in the Persian Gulf on 2 different ships during Desert Storm. Required Heavy use of Radio's and even had to Communicate/warn off a foreign P-3 that wanted to over-fly us. (Very civil yet miltary and direct)
Numerous Voice-mail systems at companies I've worked for over the years in California.
My Training
Sound Design Assistant, Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts, Allen Hancock College, Santa Maria, CA
Sound recording Engineer for all Orchestral work on "Kiss me Kate", "Urinetown" and "Sound of Music" June-December 2007 including recording of actor voices, heavy use of ProTools and various microphones, recording techniques, creation and editing of sound effects for plays.
CSU East Bay, Hayward, CA, BA Theatre Arts, June, 2007
I've held every type of Customer Service job from; Telemarketer (3 months), Receptionist (3 years), Host/Waiter (1 year), Project Accountant/Customer Service in the construction industry,(15 years) I've spent my adult life dealing with people on the phone and in person.
My Studio Equipment
Mac G4 powerbook with ProTools LE and an Mbox Mini. I have a Sure SM 57 mic as well as a Rode NTG-1 mini-shotgun that sounds fabulous. I use the built in mixer on ProTools for mixing as my studio is mostly for voice recording at this time. I use AKG K-240 headphones. Soon to add Yamaha powered Monitors. Also adding "Source Connect" to my laptop for direction and direct uploading of sound files.
Additional Skills
I am also a scenic designer and artistic painter, Oil on Canvas or board.
I feel very passionate about the Environment, especially the Oceans and the Marine life on this beautiful planet of ours. I'm not rabid, but can speak about environmental issues, especially marine ones, with sincere and intense passion if necessary.
I play a lot of games. Board games, video games, role-playing games, miniature based games, card games, I love them all and will happily do voiceover work for those industries!
I travel a lot and have actually been all the way around the world once (due to crossing the date line only once and it being a leap year I had a 367 day year once! See US Navy above) So I have a lot of multi-cultural experience, enjoy diversity, love to travel and see all the beauty and wonders of the world and it's peoples.
I live in the SF Bay Area so am more than happy to work for Alternative lifestyle (gay, lesbian, bdsm, adult, 420, etc.)
